L'AFRICAINE VIE BÉNIN SA is an Anonymous Company under national law with a registered capital of 3,000,000,000 FCFA fully paid up, which obtained its approval to operate in the life and capitalization branch on August 23rd 2007.
Its head office is located in CADJEHOUN, Plot 19 Patte d'Oie opposite the General Direction of the CNSS.
It is a branch of L'AFRICAINE DES ASSURANCES, the first insurance IARDT company (Fire, Accident, Various Risks and Transport) of BENIN and leader on its market. It also has a branch in Equatorial Guinea.
The Company aims to make the most of the immense opportunities that exist in our insurance markets, particularly because of the existence of a large population that does not make sufficient use of life insurance and capitalization products.
AFRICAINE VIE is also a member of the GLOBUS Network, which is a large multilingual pan-African insurance network covering more than forty-five (45) countries on the continent. The Globus Network is for its members a melting pot of synergy, complementarity, exchange of best practices and strengthening of the performance of each member company.
It also offers its members the assistance of important international partners such as SWISS-RE CORPORATE, FM GLOBAL, and AVIVA. Specifically, L'AFRICAINE VIE benefits from the technical assistance of reinsurance companies in the market (SCOR, CICA RE, AVENI RE, etc.)
Shareholding structure of the Company
L'AFRICAINE VIE Benin (ex PAPME Vie) was initially and majority owned by the PAPME Agency, its 1ster promoter.
The shareholding has undergone a major change with the entry of L'Africaine des Assurances which became the majority shareholder with 55% of the shares.
